iPhone locks up and screen dims/pink color

My iPhone 5, software 9.2.1 keeps,locking up and the screen darkens (pinkish color). I reset the phone by pushing the top on/off button and it allows one action and the problem persists. Resetting with the top on/off,button and home/touch button for ten seconds doesn't help.
