Slideshow w/o importing into iPhoto?

Hi there, folks

I have two (2) USB flash drives (16 & 32 GB) with over a thousand images/pictures.

How can I use iPhoto to view these pictures as a slideshow without having to import them into iPhoto?

Or, is there a freeware third-party app I can use if I can NOT use iPhoto?

My particulars: iPhoto '11 (9.2.3)

Thank You for your time, James

You can't. iPhoto is a database and can only show you images that have been imported to it.

There are plenty of image viewers on the App Store, so I'd start searching there or on MacUpdate.

One particular application springs to mind but it's more than a viewer but it will do what you want, and that's Graphic Converter.
