Error 3194

hi ive been trying to reset my sons iPad to factory settings. I goes through the extracting softwear function in my laptop attached to the ipad but when it gets to the end of this it comes up with an error 3194 and says factory settings can't be reset. Can anyone help me please...

iPad 2, Before trying to update was on 6.1
