Podcast files in songs category- cannot delete

I have a bunch of old podcast files that appear under "songs" in my library- the media kind shows as podcast, and iTunes match shows them as ineligible . They do not appear in my podcast library and I cannot delete them. I am running the latest version of iTunes 12 Thanks!
