how to show menu bar permanently in iTunes 12.3?

can't figure out how to permanently display the menu bar in iTunes. help please...

Make sure you are not viewing iTunes in full screen mode.

If you are in full screen mode, get out of it by hovering the cursor near the upper left and pressing the round green button (that you used to enter full screen mode).

I never put it in full screen. that's just the way it opened up the first time I opened it...
