Adding contact to Favorites issue

Weird problem has come up...

Friend of mine changed phone numbers, I added the new number into her contact, now I can't set that new number as a favorite.

When tapping her name, instead of offering the little popup menu for which phone number to choose, it goes to her full contact info page and if I tap a number it places call to her rather than inserting it into favorites.

What is the cause and fix for this issue?

(Bug report has been submitted just in case)
