Why are my iMessages syncing and showing up on other devices on my iCloud account?

I Researched how to fix this and it told me to erase the iCloud account that was on my phone. So I did that and it still is sending all the iMessage to my moms phone from my contacts. Why is this happening and how do I stop it?
