bought sim free 6s cant make calls or sms

I just bought a unlocked sim free Iphone 6s at best buy. After I put my sim card in it recognized that the service was tmobile but it wont allow me to send messages or make calls. As soon as I make a call it sends me to tmoblie customer service. I really need your help..... Thanks
