Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPod Nano. If your voice memos appear to be recording correctly but you don't hear any sound on playback, you may want to try transferring them to your computer and try playing them back there, as detailed in the following article:
iPod: Recording voice memos - Apple Support
If you are able to transfer them but there is still no sound on playback, you may have an issue with the microphone on your iPod nano itself. In that case, this article may be of more use:

Thanks for the answer, but clear:
- There are all the notes that fail are some that appear well recorded, but by giving PLAY does not start. (For this reason, it ruled that the microphone is damaged)
- The download to my PC, but also do not work.
- The iPod is updated

Feb 10, 2016 2:36 PM in response to edwardfrombogotaby brenden dv,Hi edwardfrombogota,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on what you are describing. If it has been determined that the microphone was damaged prior to making the recordings, then the recordings will not have correctly recorded the sound and there is most likely nothing available to recover. You would need to have your iPod nano evaluated and serviced; you may find the following page helpful:
