I understand that you would like to use just one Apple ID for everything. Let's go over some information on what you can do about that.
Depending on your setup, you could use one Apple ID for iCloud and another one for purchases from the iTunes and App Stores. To get to using one, it is a matter of signing out and removing content from that Apple ID that you no longer want to use and you would not be able to link or merge them to one Apple ID. Now this does mean that you don't have to lose the content from your other Apple ID. Another way to handle this would be to use Family Sharing. With Family Sharing, you can have your multiple Apple ID's in the same Family Sharing account and then have access to that purchased content from the other devices.
