Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
Click the “Details” button.
Remove all cookies except ones from Apple, your internet service provider and banks.
2. Disable Extensions and test.
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box beside "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select “Disable Extensions” from the dropdown.

4. If this doesn’t help, please run EtreCheck and post the report here.
Download it, open Downloads folder, click on it to open and select”Open” in the dialog to run it.
Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste it when you reply.

1.Cookies deleted.
2. there was no option to 'Disable extensions' Under ‘Disable’ have only: Images, styles, JavaScript, Site-specific Hacks, and Local File Restrictions.
3. ran this with 'en=UK' and have done all of that.
4. I ran the etrecheck and got a 'self test passed', but was warned not to post the result here because of the personal data risk.
Have now been able to connect to the server and the web page to sign in.
