It sounds like you have a couple questions about the iPod shuffle and compatible headphone for it. You should be able to find a compatible set of headphones here:
http://www.apple.com/us/search/headphones?src=globalnav
Some have a remote built in like the EarPods do, and some do not so be sure to check whether or not they do if that is a feature you are looking for. Keep in mind also this link is the US store, so if you are not in the US then you may need to search "headphones" in your countries Apple Online Store. Simply going to http://store.apple.com should get you to your countries store.
As for your second question, I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. Can you elaborate a little bit with some additional info regarding what you are asking about?
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

What I'm really after is a headset compatible with the 4th gen iPod shuffle.
You linked me to a lot of headsets priced a bit too high for me but I found some there that I can afford so what I'm asking is are ALL the headsets that you linked me too compatible with the 4th gen iPod shuffle?
If not, are headsets compatible with the 4th gen shuffle sold at any retailers other than apple?
