Q: In 10.11 can fullscreen mode be disabled, Can coloured labels behave like they do in <=10.9
Ive recently updated several computers to OSX 10.10. Previously they were running a mixture of 10.8 and 10.9.
The upgrade was fine and overall im very happy with 10.10, apart from two major gripes :
- Coloured labels that colour the entire line, not just a coloured dot (We have been able to get this feature back by using Total Finder, which is good a has a good split finder and hidden file mode, but is not 100% rock solid compared to the native finder)
- Fullscreen mode - I like the fullscreen mode for writing documents, spreadsheets etc, something where you only need one document open, but allot of the time im working across 2 screens with multiple windows open in both of them, in this instance fullscreen mode is just a pain. To get around this ive started using Better Touch Tool, which is good, but has one issue where if you just open up your machine, click a window before Better Touch Tool (BTT) has initialized it will go full screen, then once BTT has initialized you cant get that window out of fullscreen.

Im now looking at upgrading these computers and a few others that are still on 10.9 to 10.11 and wandered if any of my above issues with 10.10 have been addressed natively ? As one thing thats puts me off currently about 10.11 is that because of new security features Total Finder wont run with out system integrity protection disabled (which ideally i dont want to disable)
MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11)
