Main screen icons are extremely large.
For some reason the main screen icons on my 3rd gen Apple TV extremely large how do I make them smaller?
I would look if the resolution in the settings was set to the max the tv support

The settings on your Vizio TV need adjusted. There are settings for the picture which alter the size of it to accommodate odd shaped pictures. Look for a picture setting and set it to native or natural. Often there is a button on the TV remote called picture and hitting it cycles through the various settings.
If you post your Tv's model number I can probably give you specific instructions for your TV.
it was not the picture setting. i have a "wide" button on my remote and was able to solve the problem there. Thanks for your assistance !
