Q: Can I use my 27-inch imac (mid 2011) as a second monitor for my new 27-inch 5K imac?

Pretty straightforward...just want to know if my old imac can still be used as a second display for my new 27-inch 5K imac.

I have a thunderbolt cable to connect the two.

My question is similar: I want to attach my iMac to my HDTV to use as a second monitor. is it the same process as you described?
