Add a Mail account - Already Exists but not showing on IMac Mail

I have a non-icloud email account which shows and works on my iPhone and iPad, but it does not show on my MacBook or Mini-Mac, yet when I go to add this email account, it states in a pop-up message that it already exists. How do I get it to show on the MacBook and minimMac so I can send and receive email?
