Facing pages in iBooks Author

Is it possible to create a layout in Author so that you can have "facing pages" as you would in a paper book? I would like to have photos on the outer edge of each page so on the left page, the photo is on the leftmost (outer edge) of that page, text in by the "spine" of the book. The right hand page would be reverse, where the text is leftmost (by the spine) and the photo would be on the right most edge of the page.

I have some 400 pages of text, each page is one item and needs its own photo/graphic. Ideally I can create a layout so that the text is imported from the word file, and flows into these left/right page layouts. Then I can add the photos individually.

Anyone know if Author can do this?
