imported video shows in itunes but won't sync with ipad

I'm trying to move some video from my computer to itunes so I can sync it to my ipad mini4. The video format is MP4, so I believe it is itunes compliant. The video show in itunes and I can play/view the video on itunes on my computer. I attach the ipad mini 4, sync the videos, but they don't show up in the ipad at all. With my ipad connected to my PC and itunes, the content on my device (ipad) shows the videos, but I can't find them on my actual ipad.
