How to I darken text, to light for me to read?

MacBookPro, early 2011, EL Capitan. Text in safari and other software is light grey, how do I darken the text as having trouble reading?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Accessibility feature offers few options like Increase contrast and Reduce transparency.

System Preferences > Accessibility > Display

The window may look different and may not be to your liking.

Thank you, I have already tried this but the text is not affected. All i can do is the same as using F1 and F2 keys. What I wanted to do is to darken the text only especially when it is light grey instead of dark or black. I tried to change profiles but they all have a blue tinge and the text remains the same. Will have to check it again using Exrite Profiler.

Thank you again for your response.
