4th gen apple TV continuously has apps crashing and returns me to main screen

It's as if my new Apple TV has gotten a life of its own.

Watching a movie on Netflix and suddenly it just closes the app and goes back to the main screen.

I notice that the little light on the front is constantly on/off.

Did a few restarts, even did a cold restart (disconnected power cable) but strange problem persists.

Little light flickering on/off and movements on the screen as if someone else is controlling the device, or as if its gotten a life on its own.

Has anyone else suffered this strange issue ?

Any fixes??
