An ASK browser has merged with my Google Chrome

An ASK browser has hijacked the Google Chrome browser on my macbook pro. It may have been a part of a recent microsoft Word update, but I am not sure. The browser pulls up all ads and commercial only searches. Google Chrome is still in my menu tray but when I click on it, it launches this garbage browser. (For example, if I try to google "Google" it gives me a list of places to buy goggles). I can't find it, don't know what it's hidden under, but sure would like to remove it. Any suggestions?? Thanks much.
