I want to transfer my iPhone photos to a flashdrive, but I want to keep them in iCloud. My SanDisk Xpand Flash Drive deletes them from both and SanDisk tells me this is an Apple problem.

I want to transfer my iPhone photos to a flashdrive, but I want to keep them in iCloud. When using a Sandisk Xpand, it asks if I want to delete photos from the iPhone and all devices, including iCloud. SanDisk tech support tells me this is an Apple issue, not their issue. Help?
