Remove device backups from iTunes

I have iTunes on my iMac backing up multiple iPhones and iPads. As we have forgotten the password for encrypting one of the iPhones, I want to remove that device and all of its backups. Once all the backups and the device are removed, I will want to re-add the device and start a non-password protected backup.

Thanks,

Daryl

iTunes Menu Bar, Itunes > Preferences > Devices

--> A list of backups. Select the backup you wish to delete, and click "Delete Backup"

http://osxdaily.com/2009/09/11/iphone-backup-location/ - your iPhone files are backed up at the following location:

in Mac OS X:

~(your home directory)/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

in Windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

in Windows Vista, Windows 7:

C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
