Ask to Buy notification

I have my kids setup on my family sharing account where I'm the organizer. We just tried to buy my daughter some iCloud storage space and she received the notification to "ask" me for approval. I then received the notification on my iPhone. When I touch the notification I get a blank screen with the only option at the top is to cancel. When I hit cancel the request to buy is then rejected. Shouldn't I have the option to accept?

Also, around Christmas I purchased my daughter some iCloud storage which was also the same time I switched her account from a normal account to a kid account. We noticed today that her iCloud storage had disappeared. Does this have anything to do with being a kid account and would I receive a notification once a month to continue the purchase for the storage space?
