My iPhone went black and won't turn on

i just got a new iphone6s today and my screen went complete black during charging, I tried turning on the phone with the Home and power button but it didn't work.

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.1

You need to hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). If you are not certain that it is charged, then plug it in to a power source and let it charge for at least 30 minutes.
