Feb 8, 2016 9:15 PM in response to DancingSeaby gail from maine,Well, iTunes Match and Apple Music can work together quite well, since both of them use the iCloud Music Library:
Creating a separate ID won't help since both rely on downloading media from the Music Library, and once you have done that, the device is associated with the Apple ID that does the downloading for 90 days.

Feb 8, 2016 9:32 PM in response to gail from maineby DancingSea,Thanks for the reply. What about creating a completely separate Mac OS user and logging into Apple Music with a second Apple ID that way?
Or can Apple Music monkey with my music library anyway? The web is littered with rough stories about the problems of mixing Apple Music, iTunes Match, and one's music library.

Feb 9, 2016 4:38 AM in response to DancingSeaby Jimzgoldfinch,Hi,
Have you subscribed to Apple Music yet. Have you made a complete back up of your existing library? Read this iTunes Match User Tips
I currently subscribe to iTunes Match and Apple Music. Adding Apple Music to my existing iTunes Match account was straight forward. As the library was already matched or uploaded, everything remained as before. I could now add and download Apple Music tracks - the only difference was that the iCloud status was shown as Apple Music. Adding new music was as before - it was matched or uploaded as before.
If this do go wrong, you can restore from your back up.

Feb 9, 2016 11:18 AM in response to Jimzgoldfinchby DancingSea,Thanks for the suggestion. I've done iTunes Match, which worked without a hitch. I do have several backups. But I'm concerned of not only the initial setup but of potential weirdness down the road as well. Not sure Apple Music will be for me anyway, thus was hoping to find a non-invasive way to do the 3 month trial. I tried Spotify Premium and even though I have 50 meg internet, songs skipped regularly, so cancelled. Trying Tidal now, its better, but has some skipping. Things stream so well off iTunes Match, skipping very rare, that I'm curious if Apple Music will be better than Spotify or Tidal.
