Running Windows in Boot Camp is the same as running Windows on a Windows PC and you still have the advantages of OSX if you ever want to boot into OSX. Keeping OSX allows you to independently boot into Windows or OSX. So when running Windows it is not even evident that you are not running on a Windows PC.
