warranty replacement

I had my iphone 6S Plus replaced due to a bad cell and the repair shop has had to send it to Singapore since there is no official APPLE store in the Philippines. Why cant they give us a tracking number? I was told 15-30 days but how do I know when my new phone was ordered? Dont customers have the right to have tracking numbers or status upddates?
