I want different apps on my iPhone than my ipad

Use the same account for both devices but turn off automatic download for apps in:

Settings > iTunes & App Store

It is not advisable to have multiple accounts for any one person.

To install/keep different apps on your devices, simply log in into your App Store account on each device then download only the apps you want on each device. You can delete apps you do not want by top-and-holding on the app icon until it "jiggles" then topping on the X.

You can also manage your apps via iTunes on your computer.
