How to disable Apple 2 step verifications

HI

I just enabled Apple 2 step verification and I need to know how to disable it. Can someone tell me how?

Hey! Below you will find the instructions:

How do I turn off two-step verification?

Sign in to your Apple ID account page.

In the Security section, Click Edit.

Click Turn Off Two-Step Verification.

Create new security questions and verify your date of birth.

You'll get an email confirming that two-step verification for your Apple ID is off.

HI D.Cohen,

i got the part of signing in and clicked edit on the security section, but there was no option to turnoff two-step verification.

DO you suppose I should reset the security questions first?

Once you're logged in to your AppleID Security options do you not see the link as highlighted in the image below?

This is really strange. After what I thought I had done enabling the two-step verification, I received a recovery key. But when I click on the edit, on the security screen, it gives the info on how to set up two-step verification, instead of what your screen above looks like. What you

think I must have done wrong?

I don't really know what to suggest as to what may have gone wrong. But if you don't want two-step enabled (as per your first post), it looks like it currently isn't enabled.

If you do want it enabled, perhaps you should start over and once it is successfully enabled the screen shot I posted shows where to go to disable it.
