Updates for iphone 5s

We will all know together if Apple announces it.

No way to answer that until Apple says anything about it. There is no pre-determined time when devices cease to get updated.

It happens when they can no longer support the update. when that will be for the iPhone 5s is unknown.

The only way to make sure you get updates for the longest time, is to get the newest device.

The 5s is now 2 and a half years old. You can realistically expect updates for at least 2 or 3 more years. But no way to know for sure until Apple determines it will no longer get any updates.
