library photo from el capitan to yosemite

Hello community!

Macbook pro half 2015

2,4 GHz i5

4gb ram

NVIDIA GeForce GT330M

I installed El Capitan (clean installation) and copied then data inside, included my Photo library, which has been modified for the new app photo.

Unfortunately I need to downgrade back to Yosemite (my previous OS) and now my photo library is not read anymore from photo app in Yosemite.

Possible solutions please???

Thanks

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Hi Larry, thank you for the answer, but i don't have anymore a library readable from "yosemite photo" because once opened "El Capitan photo" the library has been converted and now i have only that library (i didn't keep a copy of yosemite library, I didn't think it would be not compatible :-( )

So now i have only an empty library working in Yosemite, and my full personal library working only in El capitan....But El capitan crashes me 2-3 time a day so i need to back use Yosemite.

Thanks for any further support ;-)

Let's try to see if we can determine what is causing the crashes. Download and run Etrecheck. Copy and paste the results into your reply. Etrecheck is a diagnostic tool that was developed by one of the most respected users here (and recommended by Apple Support personnel) in the ASC to provide a snapshot of the system and help identify the more obvious culprits that can adversely affect a Mac's performance.

First and foremost make sure you have a current backup of your hard drive!

Panic crashes are often due to hardware, i.e. like 3rd party memory or a failing drive, etc. However, you memory is Apple installed so that rules that out.

Here are the steps I'd take:

1 - boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down), select Disk Utility and repair both the disk permissions and the disk. Reboot normally and test to see if there's any improvement. If not continue with #2.

2 - boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and reinstall the system. If still no improvement continue with #3.

3 - make an appointment at the nearest Genius Bar and take the Mac in for a free diagnostic check.

Step 1 done: after scrolling around 20 photos....crashes again :-(

Step 2: done, tonight i guess, by installing clean Yosemite ;-(

Solution using "gfsCardStatus"......i just tried, nothing changed:-(

And also read about possibility of Nvidia manifacture problem...that has no solution :-(((((((
