AirDrop not working on ios 9.2.1 to Yosemite 10.10.5

I just got a new iPhone 6s Plus, and I want to share pix from the Photos app to my MacBookPro Retina. When I turn on AirDrop on both the iPhone and MacBook, I can share a pic from the MacBook to the iPhone (by dragging a pic into the Finder window on the MacBook), but the MacBook does not appear in the iPhone's Photos app when I try to share a pic from the Photos app. I have reboot the iPhone and turned off the firewall on the MacBook. Seems like this should work. Any suggestions? - Thanks in advance, Jim

Hi Eric - Thanks for the quick reply, and Yes, I have turned-on both WiFi and Bluetooth on the iPhone, and I do see the iPhone appear in the Finder on the Mac when I look at AirDrop on that device. I've also used the iPhone in my car via Bluetooth and that works, and the iPhone connects to my home WiFi so that works. I'm stumped.
