Sync iPad to PC NOT Sync PC to Ipad. I am afraid the PC calendar will overwrite the IPad calendar instead of mergin with it

I was about to sync calendars between my Ipad and my PC Outlook app, the I noticed this:

does this mean it will obliterate my Ipad calendar with a blank, unused Outlook calendar, or will it merge the two
