Problem with pro video formats update 2.0.4

Hi there,

I have a problem with FCPX that has appeared after installing the pro video formats update 2.0.4 (most likely related to this update as have had no problems before it). Final Cut runs really slowly and when I try to quit I get a message that says 'Cancelling background tasks' with a progress bar that never starts. I've opened the background tasks window and there are no background tasks running. Only force quitting the application closes it.

System specs are:

FCPX version 10.1.4

OSX Mavericks version 10.9.5

Macbook Pro 15" early 2011, 2ghz intel core i7, 8gb RAM

Any help would be massively appreciated! Thank you 🙂

Start by deleting preferences. Hold down command and option keys while starting and confirm.

Hi Luis,

That seems to have solved the problem! Final Cut is running faster and there's no 'Cancelling background tasks' message when I quit the application now. Thanks very much for your help 🙂
