ipad .JPEG needs to be converted to .png to upload to website.

I have an iPad mini and the user sends me photos to upload to our website. The issue I'm having is I have to convert these images to .png for them to upload.

I thought that it may be the website hosts restrictions, but it turns out .jpeg work from all the other iPads we own.

We have a fleet of about 400 iPads and this is the only one that is causing issues.

any help would be great,

Chris

Same jpeg file?

How are you getting the file?

What app are you using to upload the file?

---------------------------------

If you are having problems with apps stalling or crashing,

-- double click on home button

-- swipe up on all the apps to force quit them

Re-boot ipad.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

force power down if the above give you trouble.

Hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button. Ten seconds or more. Hold until the Apple logo appears.

Restore to factory settings by loading the latest version of ios that your machine will support:

Do a full backup of your device. Twice is best -- cloud and computer.

Users are clever aren't they.

Maybe the jpeg files is too big. What happens when you convert jpeg to jpeg but change the compression factor?

Something is different about "that" user or what the user is doing. Your going to have to work with that user and see what the user is doing different. Have the user do the above "works" for all problems fixes.

Do these jpegs display ok you your ipad? What happens when you upload them to someother web site? flickr? I think you have the option of private viewing.

Send user a jpeg and see what happens when user returns the jpeg.

Look at that jpeg files and others with apps like Investigator and ExifWizard and trashExif. Perhaps run it through Photo Compress and see if this app objects.
