MacBook Pro 2007

Hello,

Is there any way to make an old MacBook Pro 2007 work with Adobe Dreamweaver CC, like change some components on the laptop, trying to save some money.

Thank you.

To be practical--no. The only changeable components in a 2007 MacBook Pro are the RAM and the hard drive. The processor and video hardware are soldered to and integral with the logic board and cannot be upgraded. You would need a new logic board, and those that fit your current case could cost 75 percent of a newer MacBook Pro and offer only a very small increase in processing power.

How much RAM you can add depends on the exact 2007 model you own. Early 2007 models cannot be upgraded past OS 10.7.5 whereas the Late 2007 can run the current version of OSX. The Early 2007 will run with 4GB of RAM installed but its memory controller can only access a little over three GB of that RAM. The late 2007 can, with special and expensive RAM modules, access up to 6GB RAM. Big differences.
