I use Final Cut Studio Pro 2, with FCP 6.0.6 and Motion 3.0.2. I recently installed El Capitan, and now I find that Motion 3.0.2 is incompatible with it. Can Motion be upgraded so it works with El Capitan? If so, how do I do this? Thanks.

If you use Compressor, your older version will not work on El Cap, so you'll need to also get Compressor 4.

Yup...yet another reason not up update the OS past the one that supports the software you are using.
Motion and Compressor that came with FCP 6 and 7 broke two OS versions prior to that...they broke in Mavericks.
