Q: HBO GO does not work with Charter on Apple TV but it does with iPad

I just received my new Apple TV (after using the older version for years). Disappointed that many of the apps - HBO Go, Showtime, History, and others cannot be activated with Charter-Spectrum. Charter says they do not have an agreement with Apple for Apple TV - but they do have an agreement with Apple for these channels on my iPad apps. Seems to me if you have a subscription to these channels they should be available on all your devices.

Unfortunately, that is not how it works. The content provider has control over how and to what devices they choose to provide services. Contact Charter and encourage them to get an agreement in place. There is nothing anyone here can do to change that.

I have called Charter and according to them it is Apple - which doesn't make sense because as I stated originally Charter and Apple have agreements for IOS but not TV0S. I expressed my displeasure and asked when they expected to get an agreement in place - no answer of course except I should call Apple. Charter does have agreements with Apple for other Apple TV apps/ channels like FXNow.
