Static display with powered speakers, back feed?

So when my desk moves, screen will go all static. Equally this happens when I plug my powered speakers into my computer. Is this possibly due to a component in the external powered speakers sending a back feed into the computer, and somehow causing my display to form static and form horizontal lines, noise and moments where the display turns off?
