i turned away for a second and checked my phone it wouldnt come on i did a hard reset and still nothing i even plugged it in to my computer last time i checked it was 44% charged i cannot take it into the apple store and need my phone ASAP i only had this phone a year

You need to hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen displays you should be all set.
If you do not see the Apple after holding down both keys for up to 30 seconds, then plug your device into a power source and let it charge for 30 minutes to see if it will come back on.
