Server doesnt detect external harddisk

Hi community

I'm running a OS X Server on my Mac Mini. I had no problems to install the app.

My OS X Server doesnt detect my 4TB My Book. I've formatted it to ExFAT. I already verified & repaired the disk volume and the disk. It always says the volume xyz appears to be OK.

Do you have some ideas or answers?

I'll assume that the verification and repair you're referring to is via Disk Utility, and that's working with this device?

Does the disk show up in the Finder window or Finder sidebar? (Disks can be disabled on the Desktop, if that's where you're looking for the disk.)

If you're trying to use the device with OS X Server software, then I'd erase the disk — this will destroy all disk contents — and then reformat the disk device as HFS+, and see if it'll connect. HFS+ is the native OS X format.

And FWIW, there's usually no reason to install add-on vendor-provided software for a disk device.
