Is there an easy way to manage ringtones on multiple devices? I can't find a way to do this. I have completely given up syncing my iPhone in iTunes because it is just too painful and convoluted. Maybe there's a way to do this thru the online "iCloud.com" site. Or maybe a third party software solution??

Ringtones have to be transferred as purchases to your Mac through iTunes if purchased from the iTunes Store. If they originated from another source you have to get them again from that source.
Ok great, so what do I do with them after I find them? I want them to play on my iMac when the appropriate friend calls. Do I load them into iTunes on my iMac? How do I make them available as ringtones in my contacts?
So you have ringtones on your phone and you want them on your computer and used as signals your friends are what kind of calling you? Apart from transferring the files I don't think iTunes has anything to do with this and I don't use iMesage or Facetime if that is what you want to set up. Those are different forums.
I can't figure this out, when I look in "contacts" on my iMac, I choose the person I want, I hit "edit", then "ringtones" and I see the ringtones that Apple supplies, but I cannot find my own ringtones which are in iTunes under "Tones". This should be very simple!!!!
