Light muffled noise while listening to music on iphone 6s

When i listen to music with my apple ear pods, brand new out of package on my iphone 6s the sound is almost muffled, and sometimes makes light crackling noises, usually only notice with headphones in, have tried multiple headphones, happens with every pair ive tried, happened about two Months ago with a different pair of apple earpods for like a week but went away so i thought nothing of it and now it has happened again, and im getting worried, has anyone experiences this, please help!!!!
