After update to iOS 9.2.1 - Do not disturb mode - when alarm rings, screen is black & unresponsive

After updating to iOS 9.2.1, when my iPhone 6 Plus is in Do Not Disturb mode, my alarms ring, but screen is completely black and unresponsive.

None of the buttons work. Everytime I've had to manually restart my iPhone (holding on to home button & power button).

Wondering has anyone else run into this problem?
