How to get Genius recommendations for TV Shows

HI. I do get recommendations for movies and music and I even get to do the thumbs up and down to get them tailored to my taste. But for some reason I can't get tv recommendations for tv shows. I havent actually paid money to but tv shows,but I do have several seasons and single episodes that I was able to get for free from iTunes. Do those tv shows not count because they were free at some point on itunes? Is that why I don't get any genius recommendations for tv shows?

I Haven't bought movies either, the ones I have is because the blu-Ray comes with the iTunes digital copy.

hope someone can explain to me hot to get tv recommendations on iTunes/Apple TV
