my new phone is not recognizing my passcode! I was told I need to go into recovery mode. I tried calling but since after 11 times of getting disconnected by Apple and no one calling me back I am reaching out this way... If I do the recovery will I lose everything on my phone??? Apps, contacts, texts, etc.

Hello meripal,
I understand that you have some questions regarding restoring your iPhone because of the passcode not working for you. I can help answer that for you.
So right away, restoring your iPhone does erase all contents on your iPhone. Now this does not mean you can't get it back. If you have backed up to iTunes or iCloud, then you can get that information back. As part of setting up your iPhone, you will be prompted to restore from a back up or set it up as new. When restoring from an iCloud backup, you will be asked to enter in a new passcode as the old one will not be brought back. If you backed up with iTunes, and as long as you didn't encrypt your backup, then the same rules apply. Take a look at the articles below for more details about restoring your iPhone as well as restoring from a backup.

I restored my phone... It prompted me for a restriction code. I clicked on none. I did a back up & got all my things back including the code!!!! I don't know what else to do. I need all my apps, notes & contacts I can't erase & keep everything off. I don't know what else to do. This is extremely frustrating 😟

Hey meripal,
If you were prompted for a password from your backup, that means it was encrypted. With an encrypted backup, it does back up everything, including your passcode. If you don't know that passcode, then the only option is to know that passcode or restore your iPhone and set it up as new. More information about encrypted backups are outlined in the article below.
