Animating Behaviors

Can somebody please explain how to do this? I have tried doing what the manual says, on a Throw Behavior, but no keyframes are added to the behavior when doing what the manual says. I have also tried adding keyframes manually to the Throw Behavior in the keyframe editor, but the Add Keyframe option is greyed out. Am I missing something here? 🙂

To animate a behavior:
1. Select an object in the Canvas.
2. Apply a behavior.
3. Click the Record button (or press A) to enable record.
4. Place the playhead at the frame where you want the effect to begin changing.
5. Using the Dashboard, adjust the behavior’s settings.
6. Move the playhead to a new time position.
7. Adjust the behavior settings again.
8. Click the Record button to disable record (or press A).

I am trying to achieve a smooth pan & zoom effect with variable velocity, similar to what Lyric's Pan Zoom Pro can do.

Throw can't be keyframed. Whenever the add keyframe option is greyed out for a property, that property can't be keyframed. However, if you want a pan & zoom effect, use the Motion Path behavior instead of Throw. The Motion Path behavior can create paths of any shape, not just linear, and you can change the speed variably along the path with the custom speed option. Then you can add a custom behavior or keyframes on scale to get the zoom effect.
