In my ipad air 2 , ios 9.2.1 is not downloading. An error saying that unable to check for software update is coming

My present operating system is ios 9.1 , the latest operating system (ios 9.2) is not upgrading. An error is coming stating that, ' Unable to check for software update'. I have tried to update while charging the ipad, but no results. Plz help me.

HAbe you ever synced it to a computer? Are you in a position to update via iTunes on your computer? If so, try it that way. Sometimes it has less issues than trying to update over the air
