Q: how to connect my PC (Dell Latitude) to AppleThunderbolt?

Do you know how I can connect my Dell Laptop which is a Lattitude E7440 to an Apple Thunderbolt 27 inch screen? I have a thunderbolt connection on my PC but it doesn't work when connected. I also tried the thunderbolt to HDMI connection but this also didn't work. I know it must be possible but have no idea how. If you give an explanation please dont us too technical words. When it is possible can I use 2 Apple thunderbolt as well?
